We at Savannah Dream Vacations know that pets are just as important as any other family member.

We’ve compiled a list of some of our favorite dog-friendly activities options in Savannah.

Walk through 30 acres of Forsyth Park with your dog and a leash in hand, or the 22 historic squares.

Enjoy a walk along the Savannah riverfront on beautiful cobblestone-lined River Street.
Many restaurants, like Huey’s RestaurantOlympia Café, or Tubby’s Seafood, offer outside seating
where you can enjoy a delicious meal with your dog at your side!

Stroll to the end of River Street to find the spacious Emmet Park, which is filled with memorials and plenty of room to run around.
Visit the River Street Marketplace, an open-air shopping hot spot filled with unique items from countries all over the world
including Ireland, Costa Rica, Australia, and Japan.

Broughton Street is the main strip of Savannah,
it is where you’ll find some of the most dog-friendly shops and  restaurants in Savannah.
The Savannah Bee Company will welcome you in to taste local honey and see their wide variety of all-natural products.
They also sell items for your pet such as soothing balm for their paws and honey ginger dog biscuits.

Stop at the fantastic The Coffee Fox plenty of outdoor tables for you and your dog to relax in the shade.

The Savannah City Market is a popular spot for dining, shopping, and enjoying live music performances.  
Woof Gang Bakery is always a treat for your dog, let them pick out their own snacks and toys.
If you’re looking for high-end dining, look no further than Belford’s.
The outdoor patio is pet-friendly, so you and your dog will get to enjoy the beautiful weather. 

Well-behaved dogs are permitted to explore the Bonaventure cemetery, one of the world’s most beautiful cemeteries,
and comes highly recommended by the locals.  Located just three miles from the downtown area.

 

There are several dog-friendly bars and breweries throughout Savannah, one is the Moon River Brewing Company.
They have a large and beautifully lit patio, perfect for sampling locally-crafted beers and conversing with locals and visitors alike.
The Southbound Brewing Company is also a fun bar to visit, and your dogs are welcomed inside the brewery with you!

The Oliver Bentleys Historic Dog Walk Tour is a guided walking tour for dogs and their humans through Downtown Savannah. 
Learn interesting facts about the city’s past and fun tidbits you wouldn’t normally hear about on your own.
