The Savannah Black Heritage Festival is a month-long celebration taking place throughout the Historic District which featuring live performances, art and cultural exhibits and interactive activities designed to honor and commemorate Savannah’s Rich African American Heritage and History. This year’s central theme, Today’s Youth, Tomorrow’s Legacy, focuses on promoting cultural education and creating exposure to the performing and visual arts with an emphasis on today’s youth. Admission to the festival events are free and open to the public and attendees will enjoy Dance Performances, Ethnic Food, National and Regional Recording artists, Local Youth Talent Showcases, Historic Tours, Visual Art Exhibitions, The W.W. Law Lecture Series, and Spoken Word and Atic Productions.
